I think this was a good idea, but they tried to do too much. The framerate is pretty bad, ok as a rental.

There were many great winners for the Star Wars series in the ps2 console. One was Star Wars Starfighter and the other was its sequel Jedi Starfighter. In these two games, you controlled different people and used them to fight the Federation. Though the characters were not mentioned in neither films, the storyline was based on the same thing. Star Wars Starfighter was based on the naboo conflict and the jedi starfighter was based on the second movie. Hopefully there will be more Starfighter sequels wich we will enjoy but which Star Wars game has really amazed us? I guess its the one which is based 100% on the movie. There are only 2 so far. Star Wars: Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Clone Wars. In these 2 games not only you control aircrafts but land and sea veciles too. Also you get to control Obi Wan and Anakin Skywalker. This game is more into the movie than the other star wars games. You will enjoy it since the graphics was also upgraded. We all remember the disapointment with graphics from the Starfighter sequel. But I wont go in detail for that. As far as i know, anything in the movie will be in here. What really amazes me and most of the people is cut scenes which makes it very realistic. Instead of having this one angle of view in the game, you also get to have different angles to pick from rather than the old boring one. The gameplay wont be as difficult as it may seem since you have one button to press from and there you go dude, you fired your weapon. Also the direction button will also be easy to handle, and you will have full control to your vechile unlike to what happened in the previous game. So as far as i know, this game will push off other star wars games from the counter desk so buy this game.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a vehicular combat game that takes place after the conclusion of Star Wars: Episode II. Players will choose from a variety of crafts before embarking on 16 missions set on six different planets. Mission objectives range from defending vessels from oncoming fire to escorting convoys until they safely reach their destination. Some missions are playable on foot, but the majority take place within the vehicle as it skims across the planet's surface. Along the way are defensive and offensive power-ups to pick up as well as secret bonus items. Four different multiplayer modes include Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, and Conquest. The last option is a strategy game where players fight to claim territory and buildings by entering specific zones. The more buildings are claimed, the more units can be built to destroy each opposing player's headquarters. Developer Pandemic Studios' previous credits include Dark Reign, Battlezone II, and Army Men RTS.
